Geriatrics Fellowship Program Application Requirements
Eligibility:
To apply to UC San Diego one-year Geriatric Medicine Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Completed training in an ACGME accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Be able to start the fellowship on July 1st
- For international residents, we accept applicants who hold a valid J1 visa
- We are unable to accept applicants requesting a new or continuing H1-B visa
Applying for the 2025-26 Geriatric Medicine Fellowship:
- Complete an Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) ERAS application will open on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2024
- Submit the following information in your ERAS application:
- CV
- Personal statement
- Program Director's Letter and two letters of recommendation
- Dean's Letter
- Medical School Transcripts
- USMLE Transcripts and ECFMG Status Report (Foreign Medical Graduates)
- Interviews will be held in September and October
- All interviews will be held virtually
- Our program participates in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). Match day is Wednesday, December 4, 2024
